The Students’ SAS Scientific and Practical Conference
On the 7th of December, 2011 the annual scientific and practical conference to defend the students’ SAS scientific research works took place in the gymnasium which was attended by the students-members of the “Erudite” scientific society, the teachers – supervisors, specialist teachers, parents and guests.
The teacher of Geography and Biology S. Babesha spoke to the conference participants and drew their attention to the opportunities and advantages for the high-school students in the R & D. Catherine Heseleva, the student of the 8A form who only started her work in the “Erudite” scientific society spoke about her expectations, and the graduate student Anna Pylyeva (11A class) shared her experience of the work in the Small Academy of Sciences.
The December conference was an outcome of the research paper writing stage. The young scientists demonstrated the ability to publicly defend their research. The students defended their research works in the areas of Ukrainian literature, history, law, geography, world literature, English language and literature, literary creativity, chemistry, medicine, biology, multimedia systems, educational and game software, physics, and astronomy. The subject area is diverse and meets the academic interests of the senior students.
The best student works will be presented at the First (regional) phase of the All-Ukrainian Contest –Defense of the SAS scientific research works.
