The Day of Independence of Finland
On December the 6th Scandinavian Gymnasium celebrated the Day of Independence of Finland. The students traditionally participated in the festive events backed by the Embassy of Finland. This year the 93rd anniversary of Independence of Finland was marked, in particular, by the event that took place at the National University of Culture and Arts.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland Mr. Krister Mikkelson took part in the celebration together with the Rector of the National University of Culture and Arts, Professor Mykhailo Poplavskyy, the President of the «Ukraine - Finland» Society, Professor B. Tsyganok, and Professor of the Taras Shevchenko University K. Tyshchenko.
The choir of Scandinavian Gymnasium under the direction of V. Rozbinska participated in the concert of the festive evening and sang Finnish and Ukrainian songs.
