Not only do we study, but…
Our gymnasium is the second home for all our students. The children stay most of the day at school. That is why the teachers assume great responsibility for developing the pupils’ personalities, and building up their characters. The life at the primary school of Scandinavian gymnasium is not limited to studies only; it is various enough and interesting even after classes.
In the groups of the prolonged day the children can enjoy needlework, drawing, work with paper and natural materials, and also sing in the «Vasylechky» choral group and in the choir.
To develop physically the kids can play football, tennis, do karate, etc. in the school’s gym, and also perform ballroom dances with the «Star» ensemble and modern dances in the «Charm».
So far, a few years in succession, the children have been enjoying playing chess under the guidance of S. Shistaryov (in the framework of the system of additional educational services).
The art studio «Fine Art and Design» of the Center of Out-of-School Education «Prestyzh-Osvita» (Prestige Education) helps to meet the needs of the kids in creative self-expression and also encourages them to see the world varicolored and bright.
In the eidetic studio «Eidetica» the children develop their memory, creative thinking, and imagination which assist them in their studies. The pupils hone the skills to memorize a lot of information: the multiplication table, a big poem or prose is learnt easily and for a long time.
The Lego studio deals with robotics. The children learn and practically implement the laws of physics, optics, engineering, mechanics, geometry and programming.
