Farewell to the Primer!
On May the 17th-18th our 1st-formers came to school festively dressed and in high spirits because the smallest students of the gymnasium had to say goodbye to their first ABC book – the Primer!
“Farewell to ABC” is a holiday where the first graders say “Good-bye!” to their first and main textbook. With the Primer they begin an interesting journey to the world of knowledge. This book introduces the mysterious world of letters and new words. In the festively decorated assembly hall the children recited poems, sang songs in English and Ukrainian, danced and showed that they had learnt to read and to write, to better understand others, and most importantly – to make friends.
On occasion of joyous celebration the guests - teachers, students, parents and family – came to participate. Warm atmosphere, jokes, funny songs, riddles left no one indifferent. The holiday is over but the memories of it will be with us for life. Have a nice trip to the world of knowledge, our youngest students!
