New acquaintances
On December, 18 the students of Scandinavian Gymnasium who study Swedish met Christian Kamill, the Counselor of the Swedish Embassy in Ukraine. The meeting was held in a warm and friendly climate. Mr. Kamill told the students about the work of the Embassy of Sweden in Ukraine, its aims and functions and the students showed the gymnasium to the distinguished guest, gave a presentation and asked him to answer the questions they took interest in.
Deputy Head of the Mission Mr. Kamill communicated with the students in Swedish, gave each student a book «Poltava» by Peter Englund as a keepsake. The publication of the book in Ukrainian was initiated by the Swedish Institute in collaboration with the Embassy of Sweden in Ukraine to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the Poltava battle.
Christian Kamill promised to tell Stephen Gulgren, the newly-appointed Ambassador of Sweden in Ukraine, about Scandinavian Gymnasium and promised to visit the educational establishment again.
