Holiday of the Last Bell
On the 28th of May the Holiday of the Last Bell was celebrated at Scandinavian Gymnasium. During the solemn ceremony the 1-11 formers, the teachers and the parents lined up. This is a happy holiday but at the same time very sad. Happy, because the school year is completed, summer holidays are before us, and sad, because this is the last school bell for our graduating students, students of the 11À and B classes.
The headmistress of the gymnasium, Tetyana E. Pushkaryova, congratulated all of us on the holiday and wished everybody good rest in summer, and to graduating students - success in the External Independent Assessment and successful future career. Traditionally, in the festive ceremony the best students of the gymnasium – the winners of the third stage of All-Ukrainian Subject Olympiads and the second stage of the competition- presentation of students’ research works at the Small Academy of Sciences – are rewarded with valuable gifts. Alyona Dzhagaryan (9V), Tetyana Shevchuk (6V), Anton Lisnichenko (10À), Roman Temnyy (11B), Syuta Svyatoslav (11B) were awarded by the headmistress of the gymnasium. The graduating student of the 11B class , Syuta Svyatoslav, was not only awarded with the Gold Medal for his success in studies but also for the first time in the history of the gymnasium became a winner of the third stage of the competition- presentation of students’ research works at the Small Academy of Sciences in the area of folklore studies. In the evening the solemn ceremony of handing the school-leaving certificates to the graduating students took place in the Assembly Hall of the gymnasium. The tune of the parting waltz was played; the warm words of gratitude of students to the teachers and parents were expressed in the most warm-hearted way.
