The Best UN Model Delegate in New York - Our Elizabeth

On February the 1st- 4th, 2017 Yelyzaveta Fedorovska, a student of Scandinavian Gymnasium, doing a training course in the US in the framework of the  Future Leaders Exchange Program (FLEX), was able to attend WFUNA International Model United Nations which took place at the headquarters of the United Nations in New York. Among the participants were 700 pupils and students from over 70 countries who received an exclusive opportunity to not only take part in an authentic simulation of the UN General Assembly, but also plunge into the maelstrom of the organization and observe the work behind the scenes. In addition to working in the committees, the delegates participated in briefings with the staff of various commissions and committees, attended lectures by Bill Yotiv, a representative of World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA), and Eric Leiden, a representative of the Best Delegate portal. The summary documents of the conference and the adopted resolutions were handed over to the UN staff. By decision of the Secretariat, Yelyzaveta Fedorovska became one of the Best Delegates and was invited to join the organizing committee of the conference next year. We are proud of our Elizabeth because it was her dream come true! Happy homecoming, Elisabeth!
