Day of the Ukrainian Writing and Language
"The soul of millennia is looking for itself in the word" - under this slogan the celebration of the Day of the Ukrainian Writing and Language started at Scandinavian Gymnasium. In the morning on the school radio the students learnt some interesting facts from the history of the language, heard
the author's poetry by Darya Lisnychenko, the student of the 7B form.
Traditionally, the students of the 10th – 11th forms and their teachers joined the nationwide campaign – radio dictation of the national unity.
Also, our graduates took part in the monitoring research of the Ukrainian language.
The senior students prepared news reports for students of the 5th- 7th grades "Equal to equal. About the world’s polyglots."
Different contests and quizzes became ornate decorations of the day:
a philology brain-ring of phraseology "People say as if they bound" (6th forms),
a quiz "Words ... All wisdom is eternal, and love is alive" (7th forms),
a language game "Our guelder rose miracle" (8th forms).
These events have shown that the language is not only just a means of communication, it's all deep layers of the spiritual life of the people, its historical memory, and the most valuable asset of the ages.
