Visiting session of the "School Headmaster" All-Ukrainian club
On October the 16th in the framework of the visiting session of the "School Headmaster" All-Ukrainian club the international scientific and practical conference "Management of multicultural education in schools in the conditions of reforming education in Ukraine" took place in Scandinavian Gymnasium. The Association of the Heads of the Schools of Ukraine, the APS Institute of Pedagogy of Ukraine, and Scandinavian Gymnasium organized the meeting. At the conference, A. N. Onats, PhD, a researcher at the APS Institute of Pedagogy of Ukraine, highlighted the issues of cultural approach in the management of education. Tatiana E. Pushkareva, PhD, the Headmistress of Scandinavian Gymnasium, presented the gymnasium as an institution of innovative education which implements all areas of multicultural education.
The guests had a tour of the school during which the participants got acquainted with the technical and methodical equipment of the classrooms, visited the library, the gym and talked with students and teachers. Summing up the meeting, they discussed a range of issues of management of intercultural education in schools, the issue of decentralization and autonomy of the modern school; and the Draft Law of Ukraine "On education".
