UN Model in Lviv
From May the 1st through the 3rd the Ukrainian Catholic University hosted a regional conference "Lviv UN Model" with participation of high school students. The conference was attended by the 8th - 9th graders of Scandinavian Gymnasium. What is the sense of the game? - To feel like a real diplomat and try to solve the global problems of humanity by relationships and peaceful political activities. Our students demonstrated a high level of training and diplomatic skills.
"This is invaluable experience which will be useful in future conferences. I realized that working with students you have to have 100% of the information and to be able to apply it accurately. Of course, Lviv by itself was magical, and the whole atmosphere that accompanied the participants for three days was simply amazing. Regarding my participation, I enjoyed representing the Republic of India in the Human Rights Council where the issue on the agenda was domestic violence - a very urgent problem that we tried to solve by writing a draft resolution, which was then presented at the closing of the General Assembly”, Alexandra Rekunova, a conference participant, shared her impressions of the conference.
