Kyiv - Naestved Project: continued
From October the 20th through the 24th Scandinavian Gymnasium was visited by a group of students and teachers from Naestvedgymnasium (Naestved, Denmark). They were living in the families of the students learning Danish. Our gymnasium has been cooperating with this partner school for a long time, and now once again we are happy to meet with our northern friends.
The program of the visit was rich and varied: from visiting historical places of Kyiv (the Museum of History, Kyiv-Pecherska Lavra, St. Sophia Cathedral, the Museum of Chernobyl, Babiy Yar, the Square of Independence) to cultural activities at Scandinavian Gymnasium and the National Opera.
One of the most interesting excursions was a tour to Mezhyhirya. The meeting at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark with Christian Dons Christensen, the Ambassador, and Karina Myulin, the Consul of Denmark, was important for both the Danish and Ukrainian children. The employees of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark told the students about the activities of the Embassy, the development of economic and cultural ties with our country.
Thanks to our friends from Denmark, to the Danish teachers, to Susanne Nielsen and Helen Christensen, in particular, for their bold visit, their love to Ukraine and sincere hearts! We hope to continue our friendship and meetings.
