1939-1945. We remember! We are winning!
By the Presidential Decree May the 8th is declared the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation. The events dedicated to this date were held under the slogan "1939-1945. We remember! We are winning!" We remember what tragedy was the Second World War for the Ukrainian people. This memory makes us stronger. It is the key to victory today. A red poppy is a symbol of memory of the world and in Ukraine. The students of Scandinavian Gymnasium made 400 stylized poppies for the residents of Eastern Ukraine.
The Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation at our gymnasium started with a radio message about the contribution of the Ukrainian people into the victory over fascism, about the bloody price of peace in Europe in 1945 and today. Each class had a Lesson of Memory to which veterans were invited. The students prepared interesting photos and videos of the feat of arms of the Ukrainian people. Such activities help students to realize that they belong to the Ukrainian people, to perceive the war as a disaster that destroys the lives of ordinary people and the fortunes of nations.
The desire for freedom yesterday, patriotism today - a worthy Ukraine tomorrow!
