Minor Academy of Sciences School Conference
On December the 5th, 2013 the annual Scientific Conference on defense of student research works of the Minor Academy of Sciences took place at Scandinavian Gymnasium. The conference was attended by the students of the gymnasium, members of the “Erudite” Research Society, and their teachers.
Participation in the defense of MAS student works expands the students’ knowledge and goes beyond the school curriculum and textbooks. It helps to get deeper into the world of science, technology, culture, to learn how to use information sources, analyze and draw conclusions, freely and competently speak at a public defense of their research, and finally participate in the competition - a major step towards self-determination and professional growth.
The 8th- 11th graders defended their works in the areas of Ukrainian language and literature, Russian literature, English and German languages, the history of Ukraine and the World History, mathematics and physics , geography and medicine , computer science. The topics of the works selected for the study were interesting and relevant.
The best student works will be presented at the first (district) stage of all-Ukrainian defense of student research papers.
