Cooperation with Poland in Action
During the spring holidays a group of students (9th-11th grades) with their parents and teachers visited Sopot to learn about education in Poland and to establish friendly relations with a partner schools and their university.
On the basis of a cooperation agreement between Sopocka Szkola Wyzsza and Scandinavian Gymnasium Ukrainian students who intend to study abroad visited the university. They were interested in rules of entering the university, in learning and living conditions of the students there. The students took part in master classes and visited the campus.
Also, Maria Sklodowska-Curie College which has 65 years of tradition joined the student exchange program. The students of the college gladly communicated with their Ukrainian peers and the administration of the College signed a cooperation agreement with Scandinavian Gymnasium. The meeting Mr. M. Yankiv, the Consul General of Ukraine in Gdansk, has become an important event. The children also participated in sports competitions.
In addition to educational events our students traveled to beautiful Baltic cities - Sopot, Gdynia and Gdansk. They visited a beautiful park, the Cathedral and the embankment of Gdansk, a real European aquarium in Gdynia, visited the "Road to Freedom" museum and the world's largest medieval castle in Malbork.
During their stay in Sopot the Ukrainian students made friends with their Polish peers and invited them to visit Kyiv and Scandinavian Gymnasium in September 2014.
