The awards ceremony
On May the 8th, 2012 a traditional ceremony of awarding the winners of the nationwide subject Olympiads and competition-defense of student research works at the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was held at the gymnasium.
Our students showed good results at the district competition phase (61 winners) in the Ukrainian language and literature, in English, the world literature and Russian language, in history, geography, physics, and arts. 15 gymnasium students were winners of the competition at the city phase, and Catherine Heseleva, the student of the 8A class took the 2nd place at the IV stage of the nationwide subject olympiad in history.
Participation in scientific research promotes personal development, and helps the students to put the knowledge acquired at school into practice. 14 students became prize winners at the district and city phases of the competition. Tetyana E. Pushkareva, the Headmistress of Scandinavian gymnasium, Ph.D. in Education, congratulated all the winners and wished them new accomplishments and victories.
