Journey to the northern capitals
During the autumn holidays the students of the 8D and 8E forms of the gymnasium had a great opportunity to visit the capitals of the Baltic States and Scandinavia: Tallinn, Helsinki, Stockholm, and Riga. The program of the trip took into account the interests of pupils, it was interesting and eventful. During the visit to Stockholm, Sweden, our students visited the National History Museum, the "Vasa" Museum-ship, Slebro, the Newshoping castle, the Museum of Kosmonov.
The most impressive was the capital of Finland - Helsinki where the students had the opportunity to see the Cathedral, the Senate Square, the Dormition Cathedral, and the Esplanade Park – the unique complexes in the neoclassical style.
In Tallinn, the children made a wish in the Romantic street of the capital, saw the towers – the symbols of the old city, the Parliament, the Church of Alexander Nevsky, the Danish King's Garden and walked down the street of Short Leg.
The students also visited the Old Riga, the capital of Latvia, and Jurmala where they strolled around Maiori, Dzintari, and Dubuyaty.
The pupils got many positive emotions, and it all came together into a multi-colored tape of memories scrolling of which gives an indescribable delight but some sadness also.
