International project Kiev - Naestved continues
For the second consecutive year Scandinavian gymnasium has had the honor to meet the guests from the Danish partner school in the city of Naestved, Denmark. From the 21st to the 26th of October the visit of our friends studying Russian at home took place. The novelty of the current project was attending the lessons in different subjects where the Danish students felt like the students of the Ukrainian school.
The Danish teachers attended the lessons of the Ukrainian Literature (L.M. Kryachok), of the Russian language (L.M. Kudeyka), the World Literature (N.Y. Kvartalna), the History of Ukraine (L.O. Brykova), the World History (E.A. Glotova), Geography (I.P. Savinaynen), the English and Danish languages (O.M. Petrunko, A.V. Voron).
During the week our guests got acquainted with Kyiv, its historic places and had the unique opportunity to visit the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in Ukraine where they had a conversation with the Ambassador, Mr. Michael Borg-Hansen. He was happy to speak to Ukrainian and Danish students whose views on politics, education and culture were similar.
The highlight of the current program was a visit to the theme park "The Kievan Rus" where the students could not only learn about the history of our country but also try out martial arts (archery, sword fighting and horse riding).
The cooperation and friendship between Scandinavian and Naestved gymnasiums continues. The return visit of our students who hosted the Danish guests will take place in the spring of 2013.
