Happy Day of Knowledge!
On September 1st, 2012 on the school ground of Scandinavian Gymnasium a festive line-up ceremony took place on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge.
Guests of honor attended the ceremony: the Ambassador of Denmark in Ukraine Mr. Mikayel Borg-Hansen, the Secretary of the Embassy of Finland in Ukraine Mrs. Turo Mattila, the Head of the State Inspection of Education in Ukraine M. Goncharenko, the Chairman of the "Front of Changes» Darnytsya organization Mr. B. Grebenyuk, a representative Darnytsya District in Kyiv State Administration P. Goptsiy, and a representative of the Darnytsya District Veterans’ Council V.Zarzhitskiy.
All the guests heartily congratulated the teachers, the students and their parents on the new school year. The event was very special for the first-formers and for our graduating students. For the youngest students the 1st of September is the beginning of an exciting journey to the Country of Knowledge and for the 11-formers – a year of preparation for starting their higher education.
After the ceremony all the students of the gymnasium attended the first lesson of the new school year - "Ukraine is My State".
